Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract from DigitalGlobe Inc. to provide a remote ground station solution to an international customer to enable support for the WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 satellites. This contract is the fifth international ground station order to-date that MDA has received from DigitalGlobe.
MDA will provide a solution capable of programming, receiving and processing imagery and data from the WorldView satellites. As prime contractor, MDA is responsible for developing, integrating and installing the WorldView-1/2 information solution at the customer’s site in early-2010.
