MDA Wins Two Prestigious BC Awards

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that the company received two awards at the BC Export Awards ceremony held in Vancouver, BC on Friday, November 10, 2006. MDA won in the Advancing Technologies category, and was also recognized as BC's Exporter of the Year.

Both awards were associated with MDA's Information Products business, which revolves around electronic access to property information. This business started with the BC OnLine operating licence with the Province of B.C. in the late 1990s and has subsequently grown rapidly as a result of additional investments into new initiatives and acquisitions in the US, England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. Today the total export revenues of MDA's Information Products business amount to approximately $500 million CAD annually.
