The statement advises that the Government has concluded that HIPs will be introduced with searches and other key documents from June 1, 2007 and an Energy Performance Certificate will be included on a mandatory basis from that date. The Government will work with industry to facilitate a market-led take-up of full Home Condition Reports, which will be voluntary at inception.
