MDA To Modernize UK Local Authority Land Information Service

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it will receive over $3 million CAD to modernize the processing of land information requests coming from the National Land Information Service (NLIS) to Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council in England.

The NLIS modernization initiative aims to significantly decrease response time for land and property information requests to Local Authorities. As part of this initiative, Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council will enable requests coming from NLIS to be processed primarily on an electronic basis, dramatically reducing the delivery time. The modernization will improve the efficiency of the Land Charge service in Bolton as well as speed up the search process.

Other Local Authorities that are undergoing, or have undergone, modernization through MDA's NLIS program in the U.K. include Slough, Liverpool, Telford & Wrekin, South Norfolk, Canterbury, Sandwell and Waveney.
