MDA To Commence Work On Study For RADARSAT - 2 Follow-On

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has been retained by the Canadian Space Agency to develop concepts for a follow-on to the RADARSAT-2 program.

The RADARSAT-2 follow-on mission will preserve Canada's position as a leader in the internationally competitive Earth observation market. The RADARSAT program is designed to provide government, military and commercial customers with land information to understand, monitor, predict and protect the Earth, its citizens, and the environment. RADARSAT missions are designed to provide information regardless of weather conditions or time of day.
