MDA will provide operations engineering support for the CSA's contribution to the mission, the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA) instrument, which will provide ranging and topographic data of the asteroid Bennu. It will allow scientists to create a high resolution 3D model of its surface. Launched in September 2016, OSIRIS-REx is planned to reach Bennu in late 2018.
