Howard L. Lance*

President and Chief Executive Officer

Howard LanceHoward L. Lance is President and Chief Executive Officer of Maxar Technologies. He also serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of our U.S. operating company, Maxar Technologies Holdings Inc. He is based at our office in San Francisco.

Previous to joining Maxar, Mr. Lance served as Executive Advisor- Private Equity at the Blackstone Group (NYSE:BX) since 2012. Mr. Lance served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) from January 2003-December 2011. Harris is a leading global provider of communications and information technology products, software, systems and services to government, defense, and commercial markets. Before joining Harris, Mr. Lance was President of NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) and Chief Operating Officer of its Retail and Financial Group. Previously, he spent 17 years with Emerson Electric Company (NYSE:EMR) including as executive vice president of its Electronics and Telecommunications Group, chief executive officer and director of its Astec Plc electronics subsidiary based in Hong Kong, group vice president of its Climate Technologies group and president of its Copeland Refrigeration division.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering (with honors) from Bradley University, and a Master of Science degree in management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He serves on the Board of Directors of Summit Materials, Inc (NYSE:SUM) as non-executive chairman and on the Board of Directors of Change Healthcare, Inc. as non-executive chairman.

William McCombe*

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

William McCombeWilliam McCombe is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Maxar Technologies. He is based at our office in San Francisco.

Mr. McCombe joined Maxar in March 2014, serving as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Finance at MDA, in addition to serving as Senior Vice President Finance and Legal at SSL.

Previous to joining Maxar, Mr. McCombe was the Managing Director of Investment Banking at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch in New York and prior to that he held a similar position at Morgan Stanley. In these roles, he managed merger and acquisition transactions and financings totaling more than $100 billion for companies in the aerospace, industrial and other sectors.

Mr. McCombe began his professional career as an attorney in Melbourne, Australia.  He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne.

Anil Wirasekara

Senior Financial Executive

Anil WirasekaraAnil Wirasekara is Senior Financial Executive of Maxar Technologies.  He is based at our office in Vancouver, British Columbia. 

Mr. Wirasekara joined in 1992 and served as Manager of Operations Information and Financial Management at MDA, where he was a key manager in implementing the Company’s growth and diversification strategy.

Previous to joining MDA, Mr. Wirasekara held a variety of financial management positions with a large multi-national organization as well as five years with Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants.

Mr. Wirasekara’s professional affiliations include the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), The Society of Management Accountants of B.C. and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka).  He is also a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Management (UK).

Andrea Bortner

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Andrea BortnerAndrea R. Bortner is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Maxar Technologies. She is based at our office in San Francisco.

Previous to joining SSL MDA in August 2016, Ms. Bortner served as EVP, Chief Human Resource Office for Catalina. Prior to this role she held various roles of leadership at Harris Corporation. Ms. Bortner consulted as an executive coach for Insight Into Actions, Inc. and held progressively responsible positions with such leading companies as Electronic Data Systems, Georgetown University, PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) and Gap Inc. (NYSE:GPS)

Ms. Bortner holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial organizational psychology from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Her additional development includes leadership courses at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, along with numerous certifications in leadership, assessment, facilitation, and coaching.

Tony Frazier

President Radiant Solutions

Tony FrazierTony previously served as Senior Vice President, General Manager of DigitalGlobe’s Services business. Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, he led GeoEye’s Marketing and Communications teams and provided executive oversight of its Information Services business. In this role, Tony led strategic initiatives to reposition GeoEye’s offerings, grow revenue, and diversify the business. Prior to joining GeoEye, Tony served as Senior Director of Product Management at Cisco Systems, where he brought to market emerging technologies core to Cisco’s video and collaboration strategy. Prior to Cisco, Tony held senior marketing roles at innovative technology firms of all sizes. He served as Vice President of Americas Marketing at Infor, Senior Vice President of Marketing at iPhrase Technologies an MIT start-up acquired by IBM, and Director of Business Development at Tony began his career in strategic consulting at Bain & Company. Tony holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard University, and a Bachelors of Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.


Stephanie Georges

Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Stephanie GeorgesStephanie previously served as DigitalGlobe’s SVP, Corporate Strategy, Communications and Marketing. She was an advisory partner with Genesis, Inc., a Denver-based consultancy since June 2013 where she provided strategy and investor relations consulting to companies in a broad range of industries. Prior to Genesis, she was Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development at CenturyLink. Serving in the same role at Qwest Communications International, she was one of four senior executives selected to join the CenturyLink Leadership Team, post-merger. During her ten years at both companies, Stephanie’s responsibilities included corporate strategy, product innovation, brand strategy, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Qwest, Stephanie held various management and analyst positions including 18 years covering the Telecommunications Services sector as a top-ranked sell-side analyst on Wall Street. Stephanie joined Qwest in 2002 from Morgan Stanley where she served as senior telecommunications services analyst, and was recognized as an “All-Star Analyst” by Institutional Investor Magazine and a “Top Stock Picker” by the Wall Street Journal. Stephanie has served as a director of Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. since July 2013. Stephanie holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from Wellesley College.


Timothy M. Hascall

Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

Timothy HascallTim previously served as DigitalGlobe’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, from 2004 to 2011, Tim served as a senior executive at TriZetto, most recently as President, BCBS Market. Additionally, Tim prior experience includes General Manager, North America for Equitant. Tim began his business career with Andersen Consulting, later Accenture, and was made partner in 1996. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, and achieved the rank of Major in the United States Marine Corps, serving as an imagery intelligence officer.


Daniel Jablonsky

President DigitalGlobe

Dan JablonskyDan previously served as DigitalGlobe’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and General Manager, International Defense & Intelligence. Prior to DigitalGlobe, Dan was an attorney at Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, Schreck and led global legal teams while at Flextronics International LTD, a global multi-billion dollar technology supply chain company. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, and is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Additionally, Dan served as a Surface Warfare Officer and Nuclear Engineer in the U.S. Navy.


Michelle Kley*

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Michelle KleyMichelle Kley is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Maxar Technologies.  She is based in our office in San Francisco.

Ms. Kley joined SSL in January 2012, serving as Associate General Counsel, Vice President, Legal at SSL.

Previous to joining SSL MDA, Ms. Kley worked as a Corporate Associate for several top-tier law firms in San Francisco, including Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati P.C. and Morrison & Foerster LLP.

Ms. Kley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology (with honors) from Sonoma State University and a J.D. degree from University of California Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall). Ms. Kley is admitted to practice in the State of California and District of Columbia.

Angela Lau

Senior Vice President Tax and Finance

Angela LauAngela Lau is Senior Vice President, Tax and Finance of Maxar Technologies. She is based at our office in Vancouver, British Columbia. 

Ms. Lau also served in various leadership positions in the taxation and treasury functions of MDA. 

Previous to joining MDA in September 2006, Ms. Lau worked for many years as an income tax advisor at KPMG and was the head of taxation at a Canadian biotechnology company.   Ms. Lau also served on the Industry Tax Committee of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.

Ms. Lau earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with honors) from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.  


Steve Oldham

Senior Vice President Emerging Markets

Steve OldhamSteve Oldham is Senior Vice President, Emerging Markets. He is based at our office in Richmond, British Columbia.

Mr. Oldham also served in a variety of positions in systems engineering, program management and business development since joining MDA in May 1996. He was appointed Vice President and General Manager for Satellite Missions and Robotics in 2007, overseeing the pursuit, development and launch of several large satellite programs – RADARSAT-2, RapidEye, CASSIOPE and Sapphire - and flagship programs such as the Canadarms on the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. In 2012, Mr. Oldham also served as Vice President, Strategic Business Development to focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Oldham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham in England.

Don Osborne

President MDA

Don OsborneDon Osborne was appointed President of MDA’s Information Systems Group in June 2014. He is based at our office in Richmond, British Columbia.

Mr. Osborne also served as President, Satellite Systems, covering the Montreal and UK operations. He was then appointed President, Satellite Systems and Advanced Technologies, adding MDA’s robotics business in Brampton, Ontario to his responsibilities.

Previous to joining Maxar Technologies. in May 2009, he held the position of President, Advantech Networks, a provider of Satellite and Wireless Solutions for the Telecommunications and Broadband markets. Mr. Osborne also worked at Spar Aerospace in 1983 as a Mechanical Design Engineer.  After joining the management team in 1989, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Sales and Marketing and Business Unit Management.

Mr. Osborne holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration, both from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada.

Marissa Poratto

Director Investor Relations

Marissa PorattoMarissa Poratto is Director of Investor Relations and Business Research of Maxar Technologies.  She is based at our office in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Prior to joining MDA in January 2002, Ms. Poratto was a team leader and researcher for the consulting firm McKinsey & Company providing in-depth business and technical research to the consulting staff in both the Toronto and Montreal offices.

Ms. Poratto earned an honours bachelor degree in Languages at Laurentian University and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Toronto.

Jeff Robertson

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Jeff RobertsonJeff Robertson joined DigitalGlobe in February 2014 and currently served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, from 2009-2013, Jeff led the Information Technology organization at ADT Security Services, where he served as Chief Information Officer. ADT provides security, video, and home automation solutions to over 6.5 million residential customers and over 100,000 large corporations and US Government agencies.

Additionally, Jeff's prior experience includes launching of an internet start-up and serving as a Senior IT Porfolio Director at CNA Financial Services. Jeff started his career at IBM and spent ten years at Andersen Consulting (later known as Accenture) supporting global organization

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.


Dr. Walter S. Scott

Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Walter ScottDr. Walter S. Scott is DigitalGlobe’s founder and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. He was responsible for DigitalGlobe’s Platform and Services Business Units, as well as space system acquisition. From 1986 through 1992, Walter held a number of technical, program, and department management positions at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, including serving as the assistant associate director of the Physics Department. Prior to this, Walter served as president of Scott Consulting, a Unix systems and applications consulting firm. Walter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College and a Doctorate and Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.


Marcy Steinke

Senior Vice President Government Relations and Public Policy

Marcy Steinke Marcy Steinke is appointed Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy.

Ms. Steinke previously served as Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy for DigitalGlobe. Previously, she served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, director of congressional legislative affairs for the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff at the Pentagon and as director of the operations directorate at the White House.


Bruce Stephenson

Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer

Bruce StephensonBruce W. Stephenson is Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at Maxar Technologies. He is based at our office in San Francisco.
Previous to joining Maxar in October 2016, Mr. Stephenson was a Partner at Bain & Company, a global consulting firm, since 2000. He collaborated with senior executives in the global aerospace and defense sector and other industries to develop and implement growth strategies, assess and integrate acquisitions, and implement performance improvement initiatives. Mr. Stephenson was an active duty U.S. Air Force officer from 1988-1998, serving in military space leadership roles at the National Reconnaissance Office, 45th Space Wing, and 2nd Space Operations Squadron. Following his active duty career, he continued to serve as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve until his retirement in 2012, focusing on space systems acquisitions, architectures and policy.
Mr. Stephenson is a graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in computer studies and economics. He earned a master’s degree in applied economics at the University of Central Florida and an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School.

Richard White

President Government Systems SSL

Richard WhiteMr. Richard L. White is President of Government Systems SSL, a leading provider of innovative satellites and spacecraft systems. In this role, he is responsible for bringing SSL and MDA capabilities to serve the U.S. Government.

Mr. White is an experienced senior U.S. Government programs executive with deep knowledge and access across numerous U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence, and civilian agencies. He has held leadership positions in general management, programs management, engineering, and business development across multiple mission areas. These include intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, satellite antennas and payloads, and cyber security.

Mr. White was previously Chief Executive Officer at Capstone Corporation, a privately held services provider to the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence, and civilian agencies.

Before that he served in senior management roles at Harris Corporation in its Government Communications Systems Division from 1982 to 2013. These included President, Healthcare Solutions; Vice President and General Manager, Cyber Integrated Solutions; Senior Executive, Washington D.C. Regional Operations; Vice President Programs, Information Technology Services; Vice President Business Development, Intelligence Agencies; and Director, Space Programs.

Mr. White is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Rich resides in Reston, Virginia, and is located at the SSL Government Systems office in northern Virginia.

His affiliations include the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the Space Foundation, and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).


Dario Zamarian

Group President SSL

dario_zamarianMr. Dario Zamarian was appointed Group President of SSL in August 2017. He is based at our office in Palo Alto.

Mr. Zamarian brings a wealth of experience in leading transformative growth and strategic leadership to SSL, where he works closely with the senior executive team to support the needs of satellite operators around the world and drive growth into new markets. 

Before joining SSL, Mr. Zamarian advised multiple technology companies affiliated with The Blackstone Group and served on several of their company boards. Most notably, he was instrumental in the strategy formulation, acquisition and integration activities that formed Optiv Security, a market-leading provider of end-to-end cyber security solutions.

Prior to that, Mr. Zamarian was Dell’s Global Vice President and Worldwide General Manager of the Enterprise Systems & Solutions and the Networking Divisions from 2010-2013. Mr. Zamarian served as Vice President and General Manager, Systems and Network Management at Cisco Systems from 2004-2010. 

Previously he held positions in corporate strategy, product management, sales and software engineering for several technology firms in Silicon Valley. 

Mr. Zamarian holds an M.S.E.E. from Polytechnic of Turin, Torino, Italy and an M.B.A from INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration), Fontainebleau, France.
